3- Phase Surge Suppressor
The SDSA2040D 3-phase Surge Suppressor is designed to be connected to an open grounded configured 240V Delta electrical system. There is no ground reference for that 240V ungrounded type service, so no ground wire is part of that SDSA2040D SPD. The excess voltage that is coupled on any phase of that 3 phase Delta configured service is equally distributed to all 3 phases so the connected equipment receives an equal voltage level rise and decay. Therefore it is held, absorbed and dissipated within the device.

Enclosed Contactors
Our enclosed contactors are used on the three phase side. They are designed to utilize phase monitoring to automatically latch and unlatch the contactor. This will provide an automatic form of engaging and disengaging a load from the converter as well as adding phase monitoring to your system.
These advancements help monitor all three legs going out to your load plus, preventing any overload to occur. Ultimately, protecting not only the converter but your equipment!

Single Phase Surge Suppressor
Our Surge Suppressors are designed to be installed into a single phase or three phase load center panel or at the meter. There are two types of surge protection devices: Type 1 (meter-based surge protectors), which are installed outside on your home’s electrical meter, and Type 2 (panel-based surge protectors), which are installed inside on your home’s main electrical panel. a surge protector has a filter, allowing all safe electrical currents in, and prevents all irregular voltage from having an impact on your power utilities. By doing so, it protects all of your appliances from burning out, and in some cases exploding. The surge suppressors that we offer are wired directly into a dual-pole breaker, which is in your main breaker. And in some cases can be routed through your sub-panel for down-streaming. As with all electrical installations we recommend hiring a licensed and qualified electrician to ensure proper installation and to meet code requirements.
